Record Store Day 2018

Welcome fans of October, The Elephants, Issa & King With a Heart! We at Butterfly Records are pleased to announce our participation in the biyearly celebration of Record Store Day. Though we are not necessarily one independent indie store we share the basic concept of love for music through physicality and the phenomenon of vinyl. Our CEO and founder, October, grew up with that love for physical music and her vision was to be one of the leading record labels that places value on physical music and vinyl. This is why our label participates in Record Store Day. For the love of music, the love of vinyl, and you.

This year, we will be releasing some new releases, some re-releases, and some reimagined releases. Originally released as a Butterfly Records exclusive bonus track on her sophomore album Too, Issa will release "All Your Innocence" on half-white/half-black 12" vinyl including the title track plus 3 brand new remixes. King With a Heart will release the 5th single off his debut album Home, "Time", on Standard CD, Maxi CD and white 7" vinyl. The Elephants travel back to the beginning to re-release their debut single "I'll Be Your Operator" on green 7" vinyl. They'll also be releasing a marble green 12" vinyl with demos from their debut album A Mission of Beauty, previously only available in an extremely limited 100 copies of their debut album's box set. Their last release is a purple 12" vinyl of the 1st single from their 7th album Specter, "Take Cover", featuring 2 remixes. Founder of Butterfly Records, October, will release 4 pieces of vinyl. The first release is a 7" picture disc of her contribution to the A Wrinkle In Time soundtrack, "Moment of Clarity", to be included in the Special Edition of her upcoming 16th album generate. The next is a yellow 7" vinyl of the lead single from her debut mixtape Azure, "Composure". Followed by a repress of the extremely limited white label 12" vinyl release including instrumentals from her 7th album Cloud Living, which was available free to fans who purchased a copy of the album at Butterfly Records. Lastly, October will release a marble purple 10" vinyl including 4 bonus tracks from her 7th album Cloud Living.
